Brooke was familiar with certain recreational places being highly overstimulating for those on the spectrum and other abilities and that's how the Main Street Greenery and Fairy Kingdom was born.
The workshop sizes are small, the Fairy Kingdom contains the Fairy Play Cave which has a range of sensory-orientated toys, and books. The fairy kingdom itself is set up with calming lights, effects, and sounds that relax neuroreceptors instead of aggravating them. Many have come, loved, enjoyed, and complimented our space and we look forward to sharing it.
Many of our workshops contain "hidden education" around STEM and other education and the small sizes and vibe are perfect for all abilities. We hope anyone booking into a workshop is as accepting and diverse as we are and will not separate anyone for the comfortability of another due to their "ability".

The Fairy Kingdom was completely handmade from recycled goods from artist Trudy Ward and also from Gunai Kurnai (Gippsland) region and her art is loved and appreciated by all, it's so special that one cannot explain, it needs to be seen.
In August 2022 Kaye Keily become a minority owner and is more affectionately known as "Fairy Kaye", Kaye runs various workshops and is the best fairy for birthday parties one could desire. Kaye can be found in our shop full-time and has a welcoming, warming presence and will always make parents feel at home whilst setting the kids up with coloring pages to give mum 5 minutes of peace.
Fairy Kaye is creative, fun, and imaginative, whilst being an incredibly strong and caring woman.

2022 was a hard year being the first year of business and our situation being off the main drag a little but as two strong and determined women we saw through and made a plan to make this work and do in the community what we know it needs and that is where our private NDIS sessions were born.
Brooke and Kaye are both great mentors and enjoy working one on one (with or without support workers) with NDIS participants in the workshop, whether it is undertaking tasks for skills development, doing private workshops, gardening, art, painting, business mentoring, or life skills, taking one op shopping (which we are skilled at ;)), or even reading books in the Fairy Kingdom- we know we can and have made a difference. Everyone should feel comfortable in life and we like providing a safe and happy place for all to go with any ability.
We charge standard NDIS rates to NDIS but provide invaluable support, social networking, and more.
All our NDIS participants are booked into ongoing spots and are all coming so far and love that they can walk in and do something new each time if they like and develop new skills, talents, and social abilities.

Supporting all backgrounds, abilities, and people is our passion and we are dedicated to creating social change, acceptance, and diversity within our community.

Brooke is a Biomedical Scientist who graduated from Ballarat University/ Monash and is very passionate about science, she runs the science workshops and also runs "Brooke's Community Tutoring" which is a branch of this business and contains also NDIS participants. Brooke has been tutoring for 10 years and also mentored previously with The Smith Family. Brooke has been recognized and received an award from Federation University for her work in the community and outstanding work in diversity and inclusivity, she was also nominated for Young Australian of the Year 2023.
